Cranmere Primary hosted a National Heritage Blue Plaque on Tuesday 21st February.

This Blue Plaque has been placed on our school building in recognition of the site being the former home of British racing driver John Cobb.

The BBC news covered the event (and there was a great write up in the Surrey Advertiser). Former world land speed record holder, Richard Noble, unveiled the plaque itself.  Richard Noble also gave a talk to children and visitors which entertained and enthralled us all.

Our children behaved beautifully on the day, drawing many positive comments from our visitors.  They were equally impressed with the childrens' display of artwork which was on display to mark the event.

Thank you to all who attended and made it such a memorable day.  If you were not able to come along then do take a look at the picture gallery instead.
