There was much excitement today amongst the children, staff, Governors and families of Cranmere Primary and Nursery School in Arran Way, Esher as their new school building was officially opened by Vice-Chair of Surrey County Council,  Mr Nicholas Skellett CBE with the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Tania Shipley and her consort Mr Nigel Shipley in attendance.   It was a truly momentous occasion with the children cheering with flags waving to celebrate the unveiling of their plaque.
We feel extremely privileged to learn and work in such a wonderful building and environment with such exceptional facilities.  The spacious and brightly coloured school has been well received by the whole school community and our children thoroughly enjoy coming to school every day.  Both Mr Skellett and Councillor Shipley were enthralled by the new school building and facilities which will provide many enhanced learning opportunities to take place.  We are extremely fortunate to have an extensive woodland area which will be used to support an outdoors curriculum and a full size Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).
I am particularly excited by the opening of our first ever Nursery which offers high quality early education to children aged 2 to 4 years old, giving an excellent start to their school readiness.  All of our Early Years children were present for the opening and their excitement was contagious.

We are focused on offering excellent learning experiences through a creative and challenging curriculum to all our children that encourages children to aspire to achieve high both emotionally and academically. We have forged positive links with Esher High to support and extend curriculum learning opportunities as well as prepare our children for the next stage of their learning journeys in Year 7.  We are continuing to foster and strengthen many other educational and community links to the advantage and benefit of our children.
We are currently offering tours to prospectus parents and welcome queries regarding our school and facilities.  For further details please contact our school office 02083985580 or see information on our website  www.cranmereprimary.org .uk
