Art
Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” Edgar Degas
At Cranmere Primary school, we seek to engage and challenge pupils to create their own works of art, by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need. Through sharing the work of a range of artists from different cultures and genders, we seek to inspire curiosity in art and design and how these link to our history, reflecting and shaping our culture and the world around us. We encourage children to develop resilience when experimenting with a variety of media, working to create both two and three-dimensional pieces, developing and refining their skills as they progress. To express their own ideas through their art, whilst considering and respecting the opinions of others will encourage our children to be successful artists. Through art, we aim to develop self-belief and the courage to be creative.
