An Inspiring & Motivating Event
This is how one of our Cranmere parents described last Saturday's cross country event at West End Common, also saying it was a great moment for both our school and the local community. We concur with this; it was a terrific day, the sun was shinning, there were lots of enthusiastic runners and equally lots of exuberant supporters. Not even the sodden muddy route could curtail the excitement!
A big congratulations to our cross country team who came 5th out of 13 schools, with Thames Ditton Juniors winning overall. We are very proud of our pupils' achievements and especially appreciative of how they showed great resilience, kindness and self-belief. Well done to our athletes from Years 4 -6 : Ava B, Oli B, Phoebe B, Yasmin B, Florence C, Ellie F, Harry HH, Michael H, Charlotte I, Evan J, Freya J, Torstein KWE, Dhani M, Harry P, Oscar P, Rex P, Finn O, Teo O, Orla S, Touleen S, Amber W, Imogen W, Roxane W and Mieszko W.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to our Marshals, some of whom volunteered their time without having children in the race, our families who supported our children on the day and to all those class mates who cheered their friends on. There was the resounding sound of rapturous applause and continuous shouts of "Keep on Going!", "Hang in There!", "You've Got This!", and finally, "Yeah!!! "
